A visionary thinker with a rare blend of creativity and technical depth, Scott is the inventor of the AURA and AURA-AI learning models—frameworks adopted across organizations to accelerate AI literacy, workforce enablement, and cognitive transformation. As a Distinguished Architect and Federal Cloud Advisor at Verizon, he has been instrumental in setting the company’s direction for AI, cloud modernization, data-center evolution, and secure networking. Throughout his career, Scott has architected and influenced billions in modernization initiatives. His work spans AI-enabled observability, liquid-cooled compute fabrics, Zero Trust architectures, multicloud governance, high-performance networks, and national-scale transformation programs for agencies such as DHS, DoD, FCC, FAA, OPM, and state governments. His competitive storytelling and solution leadership have driven major wins across federal and commercial markets, including influencing more than $119M in NaaS pipeline and contributing to more than $780M in federal awards at prior organizations.
Before joining Verizon, Scott served as a Senior Principal Architect at CSRA/GDIT, Azure cloud strategist for major federal missions, and a Senior Manager at Accenture leading enterprise modernization. At Lockheed Martin, he managed a $1B cloud transformation portfolio and invented the Intelligent Cloud Broker, generating over $100M in new revenue. Earlier in his career, Scott spent 15 years at Microsoft as a Senior Enterprise Architect, driving global modernization programs, Exchange migrations generating more than $200M annually, and contributing to foundational technologies such as Active Directory certification design.
Scott is the author of multiple books and influential whitepapers, including forthcoming industry work on AI-driven infrastructure and the future of AI-enabled networks. His thought leadership has helped shape industry narratives around the AI Factory, water-neutral data centers, Zero Trust for AI systems, and intelligent observability. An accomplished communicator, strategist, and builder of high-performing technical teams, he advises executives across government and industry on the adoption of AI, intelligent infrastructure, governance, and next-generation cloud frameworks.
Scott holds a B.S. from Indiana University, is one of approximately 100 Microsoft Certified Architects worldwide, the first global recipient of the CITA-P certification, and maintains an active Top Secret clearance.
