About the Book
By 2116, Earth is dying.
Overpopulation and kakistocracy have left coastal megacities suffocating in chaos. Deep in the Californian desert, a secretive human genetics research facility fights to save humanity, experimenting with gene manipulation and selective eugenics on a small group of voluntary subjects.
At the center of their work is Evi, the product of six generations of human evolution and the pinnacle of the researchers’ ambition. Brilliant, fearless, and unmatched, she may be humanity’s last hope… or its greatest threat.
But salvation demands more than genius. The researchers must also discover a new planet capable of sustaining life and develop the technology to reach it. With the help of an old friend and a crew of unlikely heroes, Evi races against time to bring their interstellar vision to reality. Every decision, every second, could determine the survival—or the destruction—of humankind.
The fate of humanity rests in one extraordinary girl and the choices she makes in a world on the edge of extinction.
There's just one more thing.
Hidden inside this novel is a puzzle. Uncover the secret and you could win.
Clues are woven throughout the story. Solve them, and you'll uncover a final answer. The first six eligible individuals or teams to correctly submit that answer will become finalists.
From those finalists, one winner will be selected based on the strength of their solution, reasoning, and interpretation—think final tribal council energy, where explaining your path matters as much as the destination.
As part of the final stage, finalists may be contacted by the author for follow-up questions or an interview to further evaluate their understanding of the puzzle. This is where the story gets debated, defended, and ultimately judged.
The prize begins at $500 USD and increases by $0.10 USD for every copy of the book sold prior to winner selection. Imagine if 100,000 copies are sold...
To enter, participants must submit the final answer along with a written explanation to the email address provided in the book.
Each submission must identify whether it represents an individual or a team, include a primary contact, and confirm the work is original. Finalists may be required to verify their solution process.
Friends, family, and close personal or professional associates of the author are not eligible.
Submission timing will be determined by email receipt. Email timestamp (server receipt time) is final for all timing determinations. Duplicate or coordinated entries may be disqualified if they violate the spirit of the challenge. All decisions regarding eligibility and winner selection are final.
No purchase necessary to enter or win.
One more thing: sharing the solution widely may reduce the final prize. In other words—betray your alliance too early, and you might be splitting a smaller pot.
Good luck.Read more
